More Homework Meme

Since most of my blog posts are on the heavy side, I thought it would be a good holiday diversion for me to try something different. (That's why they say be careful what you wish for). I've been tagged (officially) by Brianna Crowley, but seriously nudged by the irrepressible Bill Ferriter to join the More Homework Meme.  The idea is for bloggers to share with our readers and each other a peak at the persons behind the screens.

That I have the time to do this, and that I'm using that time to write about myself rather than the issues on which I normally focus surprises me. Read on, for more surprises.

So much fun!

Renee, it was so much fun to read your piece! And there were some surprises--I love the juxtaposition of you getting kicked out of church as a child, and also never getting any kind of ticket, ever, as an adult!  Glad you found time for this!

The world is filled with wonderments

The little girl with her dictionary? Almost a clique.

Playing the piano and singing in Latin? Not a suprise.

Getting kicked out of Sunday School? Yeah, that happens.

Career path from truck builder to minister to teacher to interior designer? Unexpected.

Sipping hot apple cider while crocheting an afghan? Totally.

But Renee--Swamp People?????? You never cease to amaze me!

Watching Swamp People....

...somehow makes what I have to deal with everyday seem so much less intimidating.

Bill Ferriter commented on December 30, 2013 at 7:54am:

Hey Pal,

Hey Pal,

I LOVED this!  Not only did I know absolutely nothing about your career as a truck builder, I would never have imagined that the wife of a minister had been kicked out of Sunday School at one point in her history!

And the fact that  you like Swamp People makes me love you even more.

Too much fun.  Thanks for making me smile....

Bill

YAY!

Guess I have to thank both you AND Bill (as apparently it was a team effort) for sharing this amazingness with us. I appreciate you taking the time to share your life and humor me by answering my 11 questions. I appreciated the long arc of your journey from hands-on truck builder to  spiritual guide to educational blogger

LOVE the Lion King reference and I was tickled to discover that we both use ice cream as our "carrot."
