Your blog and testimony to Congress

Great to have you speaking up, Megan. I've featured one of your clips in a post on www.teachersspeakup.com . Take a look -- I think you'll like the website.

Meanwhile, I'd appreciate your thoughts on how to get more teachers to speak up like you are -- thoughtfully, positively, with vivid, concrete stories that help the public understand our work.

Great topic!

Steven...I have an idea for a collaborative project on this very topic! You've got my wheels turning. Can we discuss?

Thanks for the shout out on your site. Can't wait to see where this can go. :)

Powerful Two Minutes!

Megan,
What a powerful two minute speech for Mr. Duncan! You addressed the most powerful issues in education today. I especially liked what you had to say about refunding education; investing vs. cutting. A colleague of mine recently posted a discussion about an initiative in his province that adheres to the Inclusive Educational Model. I'm just learning about this model. But, in this model, funding is allocated within a building to provide a continuum of support services that is accessible by all students, not just special education students because the reality is that some of our students are falling "in the cracks". Do you know anything about this model and where I can read more about it?
